After coming back from Tierradentro on Thursday, I went out with Claudia, Martha, and a friend of theirs, David (who I found out was a Captain in the Army/Navy) to a place called Mi Tierra.  I had walked 6 hours that day, and only ate one meal... as I learned it wasn't the best idea to be drinking too much.

After recovering on Friday, I met up with Claudia, who was leaving for the coast to go work for a month.  I went with her to another small town where her Aunts, Uncles and cousins live so that she could say goodbye.  Then we met up with a friend of hers (Mario) and did a little bit of shopping around Popayan.

I got to buy a USB memory stick which accepts the memory cards from my camera.  This may be easy to find at home but I was pretty happy to find it here... they never saw someone so happy buying a tech gadget.

Then we went to eat an Areapa... it has been Claudia's goal to find me a good areapa ever since I told her that the areaps in Venezuala (Caracas) are delicious, and that Colombia's areapa are disgusting, ... so finally we did... and yes it was by best areapa in Colombia, but I still miss them from Caracas.

After leaving her at the bus station I went out with Mario to a club here.  Being the only gringo in the place some girls invited me to the VIP section... which was pretty funny... all you could drink Johnnie Red, I was a happy man.
