And so it is... my time in India has come to an end. I can't believe how fast it's gone and how much has happened and all the experiences I've had while I've been here. One thing's for certain, I'm very sad to leave! I don't regret cutting out most of my time in Australia in favour of India....it sounds so corny but what people say is true, India does really touch you in a strange way. The best word I can find to describe my experiences here is 'humbling'. People have so little and there is never any privacy or space yet everyone still has so much respect for each other and life just gets on with it the best it can. It really is inspiring. I know, I'm feeling a bit emotional on the eve of my departure. And of course there are certain aspects I am very happy to leave behind! I'll be so happy to be able to tuck into familiar food again- I've been dreaming of Spacial K and hummus ( of all things!) for ages. And I'll be so happy not to have to deal with dodgy belly anymore, and to feel clean more than just occasionally and to be able to walk down the street without being talked to or talked into buying something, and it'll be nice knowing the price of things and not having to haggle for every little thing wihtout being ripped off.... but that does not even come close to the things I'm going to miss! The rickshaws and the cows and the colours and the life and even the infuriating headwaggle which can mean anything from hello to no problem to yes or no! So rats and smell and filth and all, I'm gong to miss the challenge! I flyt to Singapore this evening- probably the biggest contrast possible! But that's what travelling is all about...see how it goes!

It's a little bit busy! :)
