Etape 12 - Manila stopover

Safely back in Manila as another enjoyable day in Palau. Dany picked me up from the airport while my friend Francois was preparing a real South African braii. He had some delicious self-made bratwursts served together with yummy pieces of meat and ice cold San Miguel!

Last night I decided that I will make a brief visit to Boracay from Sunday morning till Monday evening. Today Francois arranged me flight tickets and now I am very much looking to be tomorrow in probably the most well-known beach resort town of the Philippines. It is low season and the weather might not be that excellent but who cares! I will just try to get a sense of rhythm of life there and have good time and then I will come back to Manila for my onward connection to Singapore and Auckland on Tuesday.

Another interesting development I came across a few days ago was an unexpected email from an old Singaporean friend of mine, who I know from my golden time in Western Australia some 11 years ago. I had lost his contact details and when passing by Singapore I frantically tried to 'unearth' his details, in vain. Now somehow (telepathy?) he sent me an email and I immediately got in touch with him to see whether he happens to be living in Singapore and available for a rdv on Tuesday. And the response was positive! So there is a big chance that I will meet my long lost friend during my stopover in Singa!

Anyway, gotta continue searching accommodation in Boracay and planning my visit to New Zealand as I have absolutely nothing, zip zero, planned for NZ days.

Any good ideas what to do? I have about 5 days there and ten years ago I spent 2 weeks crossing the north island and touring mainly the western side of the southern island..

Keep well my friends! :-)
