The Singaporean and Japanese girls, a British girl and I hike in a national park in Petrohue.

Volcano Osorno (2680m) is specutacular. It looks a little bit like Mt Fuji. It´s another sunny day, so we have a clear view of the mountain.

There are different kind of travelers who travel with different goals.

The path is along a river bank, which is full of volcanic rocks and sand. It may be the path where hot rock fluid flowed during the last eruption.

There are no road signs here, so after hiking to a place of altitude 500m, from where the road is leading towards the mountain instead of a pass that I plan to go to, I head back.

Meet a British girl on the way back to youth hostel.  She has been traveling for months along the Andes. She like watching mountains, so she doesn´t plan to go to Brazil where she thinks she cannot find any beautiful mountains. She hikes from the Argentina side to here Chilean, camping alone in national parks.

There are different kind of travelers who travel with different goals. My roommate in the Antarctica trip is doing a project to hitch all the way from Ushuaia to Panama and filming all the people who offer him a ride. If invited, he would stay in the people´s home. He thinks it is a good way to reach the locals.

Note. We try a Germany cake called Kuchen in Puerto Varas, where is kind of Germany settlement. We have tea in a seafront restaurant, having cakes and viewing the beautiful sunset. Enjoyable.

Abrazos, Dennis
