Only having one day in Nuremberg we spent the day at a very elaborate and very informative museum about the Nazi rally grounds and the Nazi party.  It may seem dull to some, but the museum was not only about the rally grounds of the Nazi's but was located on the grounds themselves.

In the second world war the Hitler had commissioned a 17 acre piece of land to be made primarily for the Nazi party to hold public 'meetings' and to other such events.  Some of the building were to be a field for public rallies, a stadium which was to hold 400,000 people and a congress hall that held 50,000 people.  The only building  that was ever completed was the Zeppelinfield where the Nazi's held several public rallies, ceremonies and other events.  It later became known as the light cathedral when black out lights where installed facing the sky.  Seeing the remains of this field were incredible and the fact that there was a soccer team playing in the middle of the field was sort of bewildering.

The rest of the town in Nuremberg was filled with clothing stores and also a castle, which we took a look at in the morning before we left.  It was not very touristy but in the same regard there was not a lot to see.  So off we went to Munich!
