"Yippeeeeee....an excuse to go and see Big Ben!" I thought, when I heard our friends' band were playing a few gigs in London. So I booked the cheap "Value Advance" Virgin train fare from Glasgow to Euston for £17.50 return (yaaas!), spread the word, and before I knew it there was a large crowd of us going...yaaaay! Nearly didn't make it due to a fainting episode in the middle of Ayr train station a week before I left which resulted in an almost broken ankle, but being the tough old bird that I am I popped a Tubegrip on, swallowed some Nurofen and quite literally hobbled along. Nothing was going to get in the way of my nights out in Soho!
