We only spent one day in Figueira Da Foz but boy was it worth it. Not much to do except relax and catch a tan. But the views are breathtaking. Greta picture spot. And if you can get the annoying little kids out of the way quite a peacful spot. The beach here is very long. Probably about 10 miles side to side. But the amazing fact is that at it´s longest point the beach from street path to shore is up to 1 kilometre. And on a good day one of the most picturesque places I´ve seen. Don´t expect the food to be good here though. They only for the tourist trade and is not what I´d call fine dining.

But the beach is why you will come here. Get some of the cool games from the many shops lining the road that runs the length of the beach.

If you can´t find the beach, well...your in the wrong town

For directions, well, it´s about 35 km from Coimbra on the motorway or by back road. There are signs both ways. Then just follow the signs into Figueira Da Foz until you see signs marked Praia (this means beach in all of Portugal) and enjoy.
