PERU   1 USD = 3.3 Soles.  (1 Sole = 100 Sentimos)

28th September - Long drive from Incaperca through the banana platations of southern Ecuador, and an even longer border crossing into Peru.  About an hour after the border was Punta Sal, our beach oasis home for the next 3 days.

We found the fastest way to get the boder police to leave you alone - get them to search for tampons.

29th September - Fun day at the beach - also a quick trip into the nearest town to get some supplies.  Stopped by guards who inspected our bags.  Very confused by Emmas pencil case full of tampons - had some trouble explaining what they were used for in Spanish.

30th Sept - Another lazy day on the beach feeling very ill from too much "peruvian punch'"
