We left South Africa and headed north to cross the border into Botswana. We spent at night at the Kwa Noleng Lodge, across the river from South Africa. Traveling along the dry, dusty road of Botswana from Francistown to Nata was extremely dehydrating. Botswana hadn't had a good rainfall in over 10 months. There was little green vegetation, except for a few trees with long roots to reach the underground water systems.
Once we reached the Nata Lodge we were thrilled to find that they had a beautiful pool with a flowing water. The water was refreshing and the apple ciders a delicious thirst quencher. After dinner we enjoyed some dancing and singing lead by our two Zimbabwe tour guides. In the evening, we relaxed at the outdoor bar and watched bushbabies feeding at a platform beside our table.
