First SQ holiday

We left Singapore on the 23^rd of March 2002 and had a long flight to San Francisco via Seoul, arriving around noon. Despite not being able to get a good rest, we ventured out the moment we touched down, as Rod had parked his car next to the SQ warehouse.

We drove into the city, a twenty min drive that led us first to the hazardous curves of Lombard street, and then on to Coit Tower, yes, the same tower that the famous Swensons ice cream concoction is named after. It was then off to the Palace of the Fine Arts, on what was essentially an overcast afternoon. Then it was on to the Golden Gate Bridge for a windy and chilly view of San Franciscos premier attraction.

A day in SFO

After that it was back home to a nice peaceful rest to cure that jet lag.
