Well my train finally, finally got into the train station in Bled, Slovenia at about 1AM. I was pretty wiped out. I tried to call my hostel for a ride but no one answered and there were no taxis. So I parked myself on the train bench for another uncomfortable, sleepless night! Needless to say it was a pretty uncomfortable night between being a little too scared to really let myself fall asleep and trains continually passing 20 feet away from me! Damien, the owner of my hostel came and got me and I finally arrived...36 hours after I left my house! Arrived at my hostel in Zirovnicia which is about 10 minutes from Lake Bled and met up with my friend Andrew. We spent the day hiking around Lake Bled and up a large hill for some awesome views and also rowing over to the little island in the middle of the lake. We also got to go on this cool summer tobogen like thing, like a rollercoaster but only on one track and it went down the mountain or hill, whatever we were on. That night we got to chill out to the depressing site of Australia losing to Italy in the World Cup with some Aussie friends but made up for the loss with some good Slovene beer and goulash!

The next day, Tuesday, we packed up and took the bus to Lake Bohinj which is even prettier than Lake Bled. We met up with our Aussie friends again and hiked around the lake and did some swimming. After we got to go up on the crazy, fast and steep cable car to the top of one of the mountains. It was spectacular! We had lunch at the top, wild boar goulash for me which was very good. Andrew however, ordered the smoked wild boar which was cold, looked kinda raw...and was just plain nasty. Our waitress kept laughing at us as he tried to find places to hide it so he wouldnt have to eat it! After our yummy lunch we headed back down and finished our trek around the lake. Andrew and I then caught the bus to Ljubljana, which is the capital of Slovenia. Have I mentioned Ive sweat off about 20 pounds as it is about 150 degrees here!!!!!
