Fun in the Sun!

Hey guys!

Well, I'm still in Croatia and finding it difficult to leave.  It's so gorgeous here and really relaxing.  The days revolve around ice cream, beer, sun, beaches, World Cup and pizza, and in no particular order.  Right now I'm in Korčula, another island located in the gorgeous Adriatic Sea.  The water is totally amazing!  Even at a depth of 10 meters you can still see the bottom.  Unfortunately, the beaches are all pebbly, but rumour has it that there's a sandy beach a short ferry ride away.  That may be the plan for tomorrow.

What else to tell?  Things are crazy here with the World Cup going on.  I keep getting flashbacks to Prague and the Euro Cup 2 years ago.  The night before last apparently 3 Irish youths (late teens) went crazy during the Croatia-Australia game.  One of them ended up being arrested and was banned from Croatia.  They were staying at our hostel and the guy that runs it had to spend all night in the police station trying to bail him out.  Speaking of the hostel, it's a great one.  Really central, run by a great guy (who's obviously willing to go out of his way for drunken Irish kids), and a whole lot of fun.  Overall, it's been a great time!  Who knows when I'll actually leave, but eventually I'll need to make the trip down to Dubrovnik and then on to Greece.  Hope everything is going well with everyone and I'll write again soon!
