7am- Early morning start. We pack our bags for changing of room. Same hotel, different room with our own bathroom.

We head out to the main street to grab breakfast and find that no shop is open. It's early so we think nothing of it but find out later on in the day shops in Oslo are closed on Sunday. Instead head over to 7-11 and grab pizza and pastry.

Frognerparken- Vigeland Sculpture Park.

The weather is cloudy and cold. We head to Oslo centralen station to get money exchanged. It was deserted and all the stores closed. The only people around were other travellers sleeping on the benches. We sit with them and enjoyed our unhealthy breakfast. We popped in to the tourist info to get directions to Frognerparken- Vigeland Sculpture Park.

We walk through Karl Johans Gate Street and made our way towards the parliament onwards to the sculpture park. At first we sat at the wrong tram stop waiting. Luckily we were directed to the right tram stop located on Stroget Street. Tram 12 is the correct one and for 30kr it was a 15 min tram ride to the park.

The park was filled with tourists. I can imagine if the weather was sunny, this will be a perfect way to relax. The park is massive and as you walk through the gates you can see the lines of statues. We see the giant phallus, a tall sculptured pole, it is so detailed and something to marvel at. The statues are very erotic statues with male and females entwined. We spend a good 2hrs in the park before decide to hurry to catch the last tram back into the city.

We decide to hop off the tram at the Aker Brygge a huge shopping mall is located there. It's nicely located near the waters. Sunday - so no shops are open, so no shopping for us. However, we walk through the pier and take pictures of the ships on the boat docks.

We walk over to Akershus Fortress castle – built in 1779. Entry is free. It took us about 40 mins to go through all the parts of the external parts of the castle and the viewing points to see the wonderful views of harbour known as Oslofjord.

We were disappointed as tours for inside of the castle are on Thursday. We will miss out as we fly out tomorrow.

After the castle we head into town and make a short stop at the mini bottle gallery. A gallery just filled with thousands of small bottles. The mannequins on display were even dressed in bottle. It was closed but having read my lonely planet book it stated it cost 85kr to enter the gallery but from the window I could see inside and that was enough or me.

We make our way back to main Street and drop into burger king for some lunch. We walk back to the hotel is less then 5mins from the main street of Olso, so the choice in the hotel  City Hotel was a perfect choice.

We rest as my poor sister tries to sew up my busted luggage. I am having no luck with my luggage since leaving Australia.

At 9pm we headed out to locate TeddyÅ› Soft bar and Mona Lisa cafe and bar. The streets were bare and it was raining. Not the most pleasant night to be out. Realizing everything was closed apart from a couple of other bars on the main strip we aborted mission and option for a stroll where we stopped by for some coffee at 7-11. I decided to have beef kebab at Snak. Here a freaky man approached us. He kind of scared us from our meal so we cut the sit down meal short and made a dash to our hotel, which thankfully was only a 1 minute run. It was a very quiet Sunday and no one was about. It was nice to get a few pics of the city by night. However apart from us and a few other tourists it almost felt like a ghost town in Oslo.

We resort back to our hotel and by midnight we were sleeping like logs.

Next stop tomorrow.. Brussels, Belgium.
