Newport Beach to Cusco - eventually

Well I finally managed to quit my job and in a very short period of time, we decided that Peru should be the first destination on our travels.  We had a bit of trouble with American trying to use frequent flyer points but luckily when they called back to tell us that they made a mistake and we could not use the tickets that we had reserved, Cindy had a bit of liquid courage and, after telling the American agent that "this is bullshit" managed to get us routed on a direct flight into Lima and then on to Cusco.  Obviously, Cindy was disappointed that we could only get tickets in Business Class (note the sarcasm here...).

The flight was not bad and we landed in Lima around 1:00am with six hours to burn (luckily, unlike in the good old US of A, in Peru you can buy beer at McDonalds so I managed to entertain myself taste testing and waiting for our flight to Cusco.  Eventually 7:00am rolled around and we blearily boarded and were the only two people in the front of the plane.  The flight to Cusco is only about an hour but has some pretty spectacular scenery so I snapped some pictures out of the window.  So far, so good....

Obviously, Cindy was disappointed that we could only get tickets in Business Class (note the sarcasm here...).
