As the wedding was not until 4 pm, Lori’s day did not start too early. She had breakfast with her family and Henry, Julia’s boyfriend, who flew in the night before. Lori and Sue went to pick up the flowers for the girls hair and saw the rest of the flowers, which looked better then Lori had pictured. The flowers were a spectacular array of yellows and reds which blended perfectly for the day. They would prove to be a real hit, as the colors were vibrant against the pastel colors of the beach and ocean. Wedding preparations were to begin so the all the girls then headed to the Sanibel Day Spa to get their hair and in Lori’s case, make up done. As we arrived, Janet, Sharon and Sue were finishing up with their appointments and looked glamorous already. Nannie and Lori spent some time together under the heating machine as their curls dried. They finished their appointments around 1:30 pm and went to Casa Ybel to finish getting ready. In true girl style, Lori finished getting ready close to 4 pm, so the photographer got several photos of various people helping her get ready.

Their family and friends surrounded Lori and Ian on a beautiful day with a gorgeous sunset.

Ian spent the morning with groomsmen Paul, Ollie and best man Steve relaxing as best he could at Casa YBel. They started to get ready at around 2:30pm after a nice homemade breakfast of bacon and eggs and a morning of lounging around the pool. At 3 pm when their corsages arrived. Ollie stood up and took control and quickly showed them all how to put them on and they were ready at 3:30 pm when the photographer arrived.

At 3:40 Ian and Steve headed down to the beach for the ceremony. It can only be described as a nervous trepidation standing on the beach at the site of the ceremony waiting for all the guests and the bridal party to arrive. Lori, her parents and the wedding party were taken to the beach close to 4 pm on the back of a golf cart. Soon after, the ceremony began which included a shell ceremony. We will let the photos speak for themselves. Needless to say, the day was perfect. Their family and friends surrounded Lori and Ian on a beautiful day with a gorgeous sunset. They enjoyed they speeches at the wedding, the food, the dancing, the company and felt truly blessed.
