Brussels - Day 3

Our morning start with breakfast at the hotel. It's continental so we have to get used to that since that will be all we will be eating when we meet up with the tour.

We head towards the 'Colonne De Congres' which is a short distance from our hotel. It is the war memorial and quite spectacular. As we snap the last shot, the clouds overshadow us and it starts to rain.  We run for cover. It doesn't look like it will settle anytime soon so we walk in the rain back towards Place angora. We head through the streets popping in and out of the souvenir stores.  Grab a nice scarf for mum and then head through the arcades. The weather is miserable and wet.

We continue walking and thankfully weather clears up a little. We head into a cafe to get away from the cold to enjoy a nice hot chocolate. Nice little cafe and the atmosphere was nice. Candles lit up inside. The chocolate warmed us up.

We continue to hit the streets and head up and down different alleys and then they start to look all the same. We resort back to the hotel to drop out things off and rest ready to head out again.

We head out that afternoon and walk through the shops and endless streets stopping and having coffee at Panos a small cafe joint.

People all over the place and busker's playing the saxophone and other instrument giving the place a nice feel to it. We sat in the main area and listen to the music and people watched.

We bought a couple more souvenirs before we decide it was dinner time. We dine at a nice italian restaurant all equipped with fireplace and all. The price reasonably and we shared a pizza. Continued to walk about town before it was time to retreat back to the hotel to pack for our next destination. Romantic city of Paris. I can hardly wait!
