I am in Koh tao! (so is Greg and Luke)

Yesterday we had the best day travelling so far, so I'll tell you about it. (although I'm sure there is about 3 people in total reading this)

When we got here (2days ago) we were all hungover to hell and the boat was such a rough ride it was unbeleivable! So when we got here we ate food in a small fly infested hole. But it was really nice- garlic and pepper chicken with rice. If you order anything that isn't 'with rice' you have almost definatly ordered noodles. Then we had a walk around to explore a bit then passed out in bed.

That wasn't the best day. This was...

We woke up and the taxis were more then we wanted to pay to get to a certain beach, so we (sorry mum) rented Mopeds. Now, I am well aware that this is often a silly thing to do but they are so cheap and alot of fun! And this is a very small island. Anyway, we mo-ped off down the south of the island to go snokling. (If you go scuba diving for the first time you are in the same depth and place in the water so we thought maybe we'll do that in New Zealand. But it was unbeleivable, its a small secluded covey beach where as soon as you get in the water with a snorkle you are surrounded by tropical fish, the coral was beautiful and colourful and the fish were plentyful, actual schools of tropical fish swimming around our faces. It was amazing! We realised we had actually gone out quite far, over one coral I swam and looked over the other side to see a sort of cliff into a massive deep ocean. Now I know how Nemo must have felt.

Later we got back on the mopeds and drove litterally all over the island (its not very big) the entire length and width. Later we went for food in a great place (garlic fried prawns 'with rice' and spring rolls) then went home for some more of that cheap rum. Went out a bit after to a ladyboy show, watched them dance. It was odd because they didn't have much of a show, it was all based around the fact that they were on stage. And they looked like they were ladies (kind of) but they weren't! They were men!?!?! We had our photos taken with them and left the madness. Then a couple of beers on the beach, then a bar, then a club. Met nice people- had nice fun.

Today we wake up and go to the sunny beach, play in the sea and generally relaxed. It was lovely! I think Greg may have managed to put some photos up on facebook if anyone cares or wants to look!

I'm off again, tonight we actually ARE going to a thai kickboxing night. It looks so brutal, the posters are just pictures of people covered in blood! Lets do this!

(also here we have seen a wild snake. But he was friendly)

Oh and today we got a coconut off the ground, spent ages openning the shell etc. and drank the milk and the nut. The idea of it is really tranquil. And it was! (but the coconut was really hard to eat, the milk was lovely tasting but apparantly work as a laxitive. I definatly don't need that right now so I didn't have much)

We all have the shits.
