A big days riding today

Left Chester early but Warrior needed more oil again - BMW don't advertise this can happen! Oil found by 9.00am and on the road again.

Drinking at 8,000 feet - WOW!

Slasher leads the desparados down the freeway into Nevada and Reno at great speed. Warrior took over the front position to use GPS to get us thru Reno towards Lake Tahoe.

Had an intersting experience commming in to Tahoe - road works. Hawk led us passed 50 cars to the front of the queue where a police car fortunately ignored us. Hawk then procceded to have a 20 min conversation with the lollypop man on domestic USA and international USA politics - a stunnning conversation from an articulate and educated man - clarly inthe wrong job. He was our first low paid republican - with strong passionate views.

Lake Tahow was beautiful - we had lunch outside - met Germans onthe next table who eventaully left and let us eat!

Oh my god what a view! - what was he thinking about when he created this !

The road out of Tahoe was spectacular - one part of the road shoed abeatitiful emerald bay - and then the road passed along the very top of a rocky ridge where we were taller than any surrounding trees ( 300 feet above water level)  - with water on both sides. We gave full respect to all the 15 mph bends.

The next roads took us through further stunning country - lonely roads and amazing vistas. We stopped at one particular view for 30 mins.

During this stop we were passed by two Kawaski bikes - we gave them 10 minsd and then took off in pusuit - the result was Warriors first "scalp" 30 minutes later - as we caught them we took the slasher bike formation and they surrended by indicating that we could pass - a great wonderous moment.

We passed Mono lake , failes to get accomodation and rushed at 7.00pm to June Lake - 8,000 feet above sea level. Here we had a good room, drinking and eating next door and got drunk faster than any previous night  - the altitude certainly helped the kitty stay healthy!
