The worlds largest salt flat is found in Bolivia so we had to check this out. Wouldn´t you? 3 days in a 4WD and we had our answer - it is very salty.

On the first night we slept in a hotel made of salt. It was not to our taste! ha ha ha er er yep, no really it was quite pleasant. On the second night the temperature dropped to 20 below. Ouch! We slept in a single dorm with everyone else from our jeep, presumably to keep each other warm.
