The day began with a light shower but as allways the sun came early in the ride to Grein. This photo shows the few first kms.

We left Linz and crossed a bridge to the left side of the Danube River. Then we went all the way to Grein in a great river landscape with big old castles and monasteries. Very scenic and geat ride. Grein is one of the most oustanding small cities in the trip.
