Now it is Saturday - the big event day!  We had a lovely buffet breakfast in the hotel dining room - a very lavish full buffet - even an omelet station which we will visit tomorrow.

In about ten minutes, we set out on the trip to see Brenda's grandmother and family. (... and Yesenia's too, of course!)  More later.

Well, we set out and didn't hit any traffic -- an easy two hour drive.  All the cousins ran out to see us -- hugging Brenda non-stop and lots of hugs for me too.  Her grandmother seems well.  Heraunt helped with lunch.  Brenda and I brought fruit and cookies which disappeared quite rapidly with 10 children eating!  We stayed all afternoon and played games and visited and laughed and ate and laughed and smiled and had fun.

The sky clouded over around 5:30 when we were leaving but I mean CLOUDED over.  The sky was so dark grey and heavy with rain it seemed one could touch the greyness and pull an opening to let the rain fall out.  The thunder and lightning were impressive.  Don Salvador drove slowly through the really flooded freeway and we made our way home. There is a LOUD band outside the hotel in the courtyard for a mega political convention that happens tomorrow.  Fortunately, when we leave for Grandmother's --- we go in the opposite direction!!! Good night from Lynn and here is Brenda:

A big day for me today and not everything went as I thought, but the most important thing is that I saw my family. Strangely I wasn't that nervous going to my grandmother's house and that was a good thing. As we got closer to her house I could remember a few stuff, but I couldn't remember the streets or the names. When we got to her house I saw my cousins at the door and they were super happy to see me, all of them hugged me one after the other and it felt really nice. I had a really nice time seeing everybody and talking to them and it was really nice seeing my grandma and I'm so happy I'm going to see her tomorrow again! I'm happy just knowing that they're happy by me being there with them. The only bad thing is that time goes by super fast, but I can't help that it feels that way since I'm having a good time! Now it's time for me to go to sleep and I will talk to you guys some more tomorrow. Good night.
