After another 7 hour bus ride with a really nice and informative bus driver, we made it to Kilkenny. The bus broke down 1 stop away from where we needed to be and we were informed that we might as well walk. We had no map and no idea where we were going but surpisingly we got there easily (We dont need no stinkin' GPS). The hostel is nice and comfortable.
The town itself is really nice and small. It is very similar to York and has some beautiful alleyways and old buildings like the Kilkenny Castle which is in the center of town. It also is the home of Kilkenny beer which you cannot buy over here as the locals do not like it.

Over dinner we met an older man from South Africa and a young Spanish student. The Spanish guy was leaving for Dublin the next day and wanted to have a few pints on his last day here so we unfortunatley had to go out for another beer (Meagan is in love with Guiness). We went to a nice old Irish bar across the road from our hostel and then went to a more typical pub next door. David met a few Irish locals who were extremely nice but couldnt understand when he didnt want to share their whiskey (Whiskey has an e in it in Ireland and no e in Scotland. Apparently the e stands for excellent). We went home at 12 when the bar closed but other people were moving on to other establishments. An old Irish man teased us because he was outlasting us.
The next day we went to a farmers market where we bought a mars bar slice. The lady before us was touching all of the food and her bag was laying over the scones. We then checked out a few of the older building in town like the castle and a group of 13 year old who were hiding in an alley having a smoke told us to get out of their effing country as soon as our backs were turned. Little punks.
