- Get up and pack all our stuff up.
- Go and eat breaskfast
- Go to pick up the car
- Walk around town because bus coming
in half an hour
- Bus drops us off a kilometre from
the budget office.
- Actually in a different town
- Drive back to Fussen and load up
bags
- Pay for the rooms (ouch!) :-)
- Josie and her phone calls :-)
- Drive up to the castles
- Hour and a half wait until we can
get in on a tour
- I buy Dad a handcrafted, certified
pewter lid stein for his collection. I hope he likes it because it has a
picture of the castle on it.
- Hike it up to the fairytale caslte
- OMG. It was amazing.
- Felt like I was in a fairytale
- Everything was almost too perfect
- Ludwig never got a chance to really live
there
- Never finished bc he died
- Opened 6 weeks after his death to
the public
- Took carvers 4 years to finish his
bedroom
- Got out of there a lot later then
Josie had planned
- We drove up to Munich first
- I drove a good portion of the way
- I drove pretty much from outside
of Fussen through Munich and into Austria, almost to Vienna.
- Got totally lost in Vienna.
- Eventually found the hostel
- Checked in, parked the car and went
to bed
