Well here we are in Barcelona - wow what a place!! Everything - the people, places, sites, restaurants are all fantastic... The apartment is beautiful and we are in the best spot - right in the heart of El Born, the old gothic region, with tapas bars, restaurants, shopping, and heaps to see all around the corner. Mark took off to the Barcelona v Getafe soccer (fotebol) match on Saturday night and sat in the largest stadium in Europe - it holds 120,000 people and he said the sound the crowd made was awesome. Unfortunately the best player and his favourite (Ronaldhino) got sent off a third the way into the match - now there is big controversy but at least he scored - the Europeans are very passionate about their sport and he got to see it first hand.

We have already travelled 1700 kms in the car. The GPS is proving its worth as Jagger isn´t too keen on his new seat yet so Angie is entertaining him while the GPS tells Mark where to go. We took off to see Girona and then found a lovely town on the coast, Tossa del Mar and had a great dinner overlooking an ancient town and the sea...

Barcelona is certainly a place we could re-visit, and even live...

We also went to Montserrat, an amazing place built into a wild mountain above Barcelona, and Sitges, a beautiful seaside town popular with the gay community so had excellent restaurants, shops and services. Here we met a lovely English waitress in a restaurant and was able to have a full "English" conversation.

Jagger loved the hop-on hop-off bus tour, the beach and all the pidgeons. And he certainly loves all the attention he gets from the locals and other tourists.

Barcelona is certainly a place we could re-visit, and even live. Could see Ben would love it here.

By the way, we have a phone number - +44 7924 072 124 - but only call after 7 pm EST (remember we have a baby and don´t want to be woken up even though we know we deserve it, especially Mark!!) Mark would love to hear from you Leroy & Koz...

Off to see Goudi´s Sagrada Familia today.

Off to Moraira near Benitachell and Alicante tomorrow.

Will upload photos as soon as we can. Have heaps of goodies!!

Love to everyone.. miss you-love you Bianc!!

Angie, Mark & Jagger xxx

First of all - Happy Birthday Angie *smile* We hope that your enjoining your time in Spain - unfortunaly it looks like it :-) Btw. is your telefonnumber correct ??? Could it be the wrong country-code ??? Because Spain has +34 as country code and +44 is for England. So, if you worry about why nobody is calling you it WOULD be the wrong code *haha* Have a great time and don´t drink so much Sangria ;-) PS: just 82 days until we meet in Vienna

I agree about Tossa de Mar and Sitges (www.spain-travel-guide.net/TossadeMar.htm), fantastic places, probable 2 of the most impressive one day travel that you can enjoy during your stay in Barcelona.
