The weekend ended and early Monday morning, Natalie and I headed to our second meeting of Intensives in Solenice, a small village about 48 kilometers from Prague.  An Intensive course is where a company sends a small group of their employees to a hotel (which we stayed at) and have them undergo an intensive English training course.  The first meeting was two weeks ago and is only two days long.  I taught an upper intermediate general English course and Natalie taught an  intermediate Business course.  The classes went fairly well.  We each had four students, only three of mine showed up the first week.

Two weeks later (which was just these past two days), we went back for their second and final meeting.  I got two new students cause two of my previous ones were unable to come.  The weather wasn’t as nice this time around, rainy both days.  We were better prepared this time, so the evening got a bit boring.  There is nothing around where our hotel was located.  Right along the river that runs through Prague with only another hotel within walking vicinity.  Very secluded.  It was nice though getting away from the city.

We arrived late back to Prague to a freezing tundra.  Our apartment hit an all-time low of 15°C which is equivalent to 59°F.  We now find our evening sitting in our chairs shivering, too cold to get up.  On the positive side, we finished our many seasons of 24 and have started on a new one, which I enjoy a lot more.  “Lost” now occupies most of our evenings as we prepare for classes.  I find this series to be less intense.

Friday should be the official Internet Installation Day.  A day that I am extremely excited for and have waited patiently to arrive.  They came last week knowing no English.  Our friend Lubos came over to translate and discovered that that visit was only a preliminary one to see what all needed to be done to install.  Friday we should be up and running.  I can’t wait, since internet is my only true form of communication to home.  Plus, with the internet, we hope to catch some of the recent episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy.”

That’s all for now.  Miss you all lots and we are now over half way done till our journey home for Christmas.  We are very excited to be surrounded with familiar sights once again.

Hey, Megan. Sounds like you are running the gamut of experiences, which is the purpose of a trip somewhere. Really sorry about losing your wallet. We've been busy getting grandma Hilda settled into assisted living over here in Rhinelander. I am going to call your mom to see if she wants to come up for Thanksgiving. AJ is doing the in-law thing so she'd have to drive by herself. I really enjoy hearing what's going on with you. Take care. Love, Margaret
