St Maarten, 12/21

We have been to St Maarten before but it has changed, grown alot but nice shops.  Another adventure to chalk up into the books - Granddaddy and Gram went Segway riding along the Boardwalk and beach today!!!  Learning to ride the Segway was a lot easier than we thought and was terrifically fun!!!  No spills and did not run over any pedestrians.

Can't believe we have to pack this afternoon to end this amazing 5 week adventure.  84 degrees, beautiful skies and sea here in St Marten (half the island is Dutch and the other half French - the only island like that in the world.

Ran into a advocate for the title for the world's most stupid American!  When being fitted for her helmet to Segway commented that she needed the helmet straps to be loose because she is claustrophic !!!  More about her later - and her husband.

Met a Vet from TX who has done 45 cruises.  He says Mike's business will increase 20-30% when he has his own building.

Their friend, Betty, just purchased $18,000 worth of jewelry in one store while her husband lay on the beach!  May be he gets his reward for stupid male!

Back to the ship now for packing.  Home from San Juan tomorrow.  Flight times still the same, Kim.  Will call you from San Juan before boarding.
