The Dubai museum. I was over in Bur Dubai, the old part of town, picking up my unlocked cell phone (take that FIDO!), and found myself a couple of blocks from the Dubai Museum. Thought I would check it out. It is build in a fort that was once the ruling Sheiks abode. As well as serving as a variey of other functions in its 400 year life. It was only 3 Dirhams ($1 cdn) to get in and quite informative, in fact if you want to know anything about Dubai it is in there: history, future, flora, fauna, different cultural influences, you name it. The fort is nice but small, they have build a huge museum under the fort, and after wondering though the fort you quickly find yourself in the labyrinth that is the Museums. They have reconstructed villages you can walk though with surprising life like manikins (why are there manikins but no such thing as womanikins?) I snuck a couple photos, but you must see this place to full appreciate it.
