We are the best parents on the planet

We are the best parents on the planet...Or maybe just the slowest. Finally, after 2 months of traveling, we figured out a good system of getting to see all that we want to in musuems with Ryan. When we enter into a museum we take out Ryan's DVD player and plug in a Little Einstein movie. We take the back strap of the stroller,  wrap it around the front of the DVD player, put on Ryans "earpods," and we are off. We are free to listen to audio guides, discuss a famous painting, or read a guidebook full of wisdom about the crazy naked sculpture we are trying to figure out. It is amazing! Better still is the response we get.

Everywhere we go we have people talk to us and tell us how we are the smartest parents on the planet. Other children gaze longingly over Ryan's shoulder and adults are enthralled by the eduational nature of what he is taking in. Tour guides stop us to tell us that it is the best thing they have seen while showing that museum. We hear murmurs constantly and have people stop to take pictures of Ryan in his little personal mobile movie theater.

Truly, we are just two tired people that really want to learn something and save our sanity with a three year old who couldnt care less about the Mona Lisa or The School of Athens.

In the Bargello he was watching the episode on Italy and the man who was cleaning Donatello's David leaned over and with an excited voice said, "Thats Florence." He then proceeded to praise us for our genius.

Truly, we are just two tired people that really want to learn something and save our sanity with a three year old who couldn't care less about the Mona Lisa or The School of Athens. Thanks to our little invention, we have been blessed with the ability to see a ton, leisurely and headache-free. What a blessing!
