Ian, Lori and Oli decided to enjoy the sunshine in Key West and spent the morning by the hotel pool. Before leaving the hotel, Ian suggested trying to view the wedding photos in the hotel computer and that worked. They copied the photos from the CD to the hard drive, so they could view the photos later. Before leaving Key West, the Lori made the other two go to the Southern most point in the US, which is closer to Cuba then it is to the rest of the US. As it was getting on into the afternoon, we decided to stop at IHOP (for the non Americans reading this IHOP stands for International House of Pancakes). Lori was glad they were able to find IHOP instead of the Waffle House and everyone agreed that the food was better. Ollie was treated to an enormous omelet, Lori enjoyed a turkey club sandwich and Ian had a bacon, egg cheeseburger (of course without the cheese). The trio was also tempted into trying a butterscotch, pecan pancake before the first round of food arrived. Even though they were pretty full, they managed a few bits of the pancakes, which were yummy.

We started our drive back to Miami and stopped a few places along the way to take some scenic photos. Lori drove, while Ian napped and Ollie read his book. We arrived into town just after 7 pm and quickly rushed to check into the Clay Hotel, located in the art deco district of South Beach, park the car and meet the rest of the group (Paul, Kirsty, Emma and Steve) for dinner at the Fox Café on the South Beach main strip. We were in for another great seafood meal. Most of the group enjoyed the red snapper cooked in coconut milk with shrimp (that is prawns for the non Americans). Paul had teriyaki salmon, Kirsty had teriyaki beef and Ollie had crab legs. Emma and Steve were tried from the drive up from Key West, so they departed and the rest of us headed a few doors down to the Mango Tropical Cafe, which had various types of dancing on the bar and a live band for a while.
