Harry S Truman, President from about 1945 to 1953, used Key West as a working holiday many times. The house is restored to 1948 appearance.
A number of interesting areas included Truman's Poker table which could be changed by covering it with a lid and used as a tea table as Bess, Truman's wife did not approve of gambling.
Another was size of his working desk. It was about 2 feet by 3 feet with a chair beside the desk for one secretary to take dictation from Truman. How different today.
The excellent guide had many of Truman's famous quotes which added to the tour.
