My Last 3 days in Cairo

Arrived at 7 am by my not liking Over night train from Luxor to Cairo. Where Japanese speaking guide was waiting for me. I call him Ma-chan like Japanese name. He speaks perfect Japanese, and I have not spoken Japanese in this country since I met him. I was happy and He was really reliable. First, He  took me to Egyptian Museum. I was really looking forward visiting this place. The museum was beyond my expectation.  I especially loved all the treasures of Tutankhamum. Everything was so beautiful. I need to study more about Tutankhamum, but he died at the age of 18. But the treasure of his were all telling us how great he was. I paid extra money to go inside the royal mummies hall. Oh well, kind of scary to see many mummies... but interesting. After that, Ma chan took me to to the lunch where I really thought Oh.. Egyptian food is not bad at all for the first time. I ate Beef with some tasty bread.  After lunch, I saw 3 pyramids. I went inside the pyramids, too. It was hot,,, and hot. I did not see anything nor remembered anything.. It was just hot.  Pyramids were great. But I loved the view at night more than a day time.After that,  I went to Sphinx. It is really true, there was a KFC right next to the Sphinx, It is actually the behind Sphinx.  Sphinx was beautiful.

I was tired enough to shop around.. but Ma chan took me one souvenirs shop and a jewel shop. I bought some souvenirs for people at work, and for my mom.

After Ma chan dropped me off, I was so tired and ready to go to sleep, but I was craving for some fruits. So I decided to go to the supermarket where Ma chan told me. On the way there, there was no problem. Taxi driver took me there by 5 Et. ( about 1 $) like Ma chan told me.  and enjoyed my first shopping at the super market. Bought some fruits, candies, and juice. but on the way back, I took the wrong cab. Before I rode on the taxi, I did tell the driver my hotel, he said OKAY. but as he started driving, I realized the driver was going to  the totally different direction.  I started telling him NO NO NO.. but he was saying something in Arabic. After 10 to 20 min of driving, I think he realized He does not know where my hotel is... He started asking my hotel to the other cab driver. but never seemed to figure out. I wanted to cry .. It was getting really dark. Cairo is a big city.. there were many people walking by on the street.. but All I saw was an Arabic Men. They looked so scary to me at that night..  I was telling driver in English Slowly please take me to the Pyramisa hotel.... 100 times. The taxi driver ended up asking  few boys on the street. They spoke little English, and had a cell phone. I asked him to let me use his cell phone, and called Ma chan. He was my prince that night, He said He would come get me from wherever he was.  Taxi driver asked me to pay him 50Et ( about 10$) even though it was his mistake. I wanted to get off the cab, so I did nothing and paid. I waited Ma chan on the street where I did not even know where I was with the boys who speak little English. The boys were nice and funny. They stayed with me till Ma chan arrived.  They gave me Egyptian Cigarette, and smoked together, and They pointed at a girl walking by and said, She is a Egyptian Bitch!! I think they meant she is a prostitute. ( I did not see any female wearing a  regular clothes till I arrived in Cairo City... so it was interesting... did not mean all the female who were wearing regular clothes in Egypt were prostitue. I saw many of them at shopping mall on the next day).  well, Ma chan arrived after 20 min, he said He was worried about me. Yes, Ma chan took me back to the hotel safely this time, and I went to the deep sleep.

The next day  was my first free time day in Egypt. I slept over, went to the swimming pool and walked to the super market where I could go on the walking distance. I was kind of scared to ride a taxi from last night.  At the super market, this Gentle man spoke to me asked me if I am a Fillipina. He spoke good English and said his aunt is Fillipina. He lived in Italy for a long time, He showed me around Cairo a bit. We went to lunch together and gave me my birthday present on the next day.  We became friends.  BTW, He is looking for  a Japanese princess, Ladies. (fyi.. I am not going to be the one. )  At night, Ma chan took me to dinner and Shopping mall in Cairo. Shopping Mall was a lot different than Japan, but it was fun. I bought 2 outfits there. Where I found out the female started getting westernize a lot especially in Cairo city. I seen female smoking water cigarettes.  dressing like European a lot, wearing make up.. showing thier body parts more than any other cities. The out fit I bought were exactly like the ones we wear in here, too.  Dinner that night, I was going to try the pigeon. Ma chan ordered it for me, the restaurant was by the pyramid, beautiful place and we could see the pyramid very well.. but as soon as Pigeon was brought to my table, I was like NO NO NO.. there were wings on the fried Pigeon. I ate one small piece. I do not remember the taste, but I told Ma chan I am sorry with this wings.. I could not eat pigeons. Ma chan kindly exchanged his plate ( beef kebab) to mine. and I ate Kebab.

Next day was my last day in Egypt. I was really tired from the weather and maybe the food.. I was kind of ready to leave.  But the gentle man from yesterday came to my hotel and asked me to walk around the cairo city with him till my flight. now I feel bad, but I was really having an attitude towards him Cause I was tired and moody.I did not wanna walk around the sun before my long flight. He offered me a cup of juice at the nice cafe in Cairo down town,, and shop more at down town but refused it and took a cab and went to the airport.. arrived at the airport about 5hours before my flight. I am so sorry Mr. W

My flight to Japan for 14 hours was terrible. I became sick as soon as flight took off. I had to back and force the toilet million times, asked flight attendance to give me as much as medicine they got. Had to go to the Clinic in Narita as soon as I arrived.  I am still suffering from the terrible stomachache. I was being really cautious about water, ( I even did not wash my teeth with tapped water) and did not eat fresh vegetables.. but see what I got..... well but it happened at the end of the day. So It is all good at the end.
