i think that the bryce rocks were my favorite rocks.

they are well crazy - thousands of hoodoos (spires of rock with knobbly bits on top) all different shapes sizes.  and they are stripey - what more could you want from a  rock?

we had a gorgeous day - not too hot, a deep blue sky and just the right amount of cloud to be photogenic.  we did a hike down amongst the hoodoos - it should have taken a couple of hours but stretched to a whole day with all of dads photo stops!  i took a record 110 photos - but deleted a lot of them.

me and alex saw some bear damage on a tree, which had me looking over my shoulder for the rest of the day, i don't think dad believed we saw them - maybe he doesn't believe in bears, he'll be laughing on the other side or his face when he get eaten by one in yosemite.
