Well after getting out of Beni to Barcelona and checking into a hostel I felt a sigh of relief. Bit expensive at 28 euros a night, but for two nights I don´t mind. Also it is bang smack in the middle of Les Rambla, and I have my own room!

Saw the Birmingham crew for a bit last night for a few drinks by the Port. Also met up with them today to visit Sagrada Familia, a nice cathedral design by Gaudi. Impressive, but it´s pretty much an extravagant building site inside. Not sue to finish until 2030, but I´m sure it will be great. Also being a house of god and all that, it hurt!

Barca, Barca, Barca!

Left the the others for good earlier, after an all you can eat, so now on my own for the trip. Booked up my passage overnight to Bern, Switzerland tomorrow night. Bit pricey as it´s a hotel train, but just want to get out of this country now, get a change of scenary. Hoping it may be a bit cooler higher up in Switzerland, may head to Interlaken and train it up the mountain if I can justify the cost.

Although looking at weather forecasts, the East of Europe is in a scorcher, and it seems to be fucking over England. I´m gutted obviously, but I´m sure there is too hot?

"It is predicted Windsor, Eton and Maidenhead will escape flooding while Marlow, Cookham, and Staines will see limited flooding later this week."

I feel for you all, I really do.

Anyway, about to run out of time on the net. Sorry for all spelling mistakes, I´m writing this very fast.

--------------------------------------

Last day here and have some time to kill before my train tonight.

Going to have a wooper meal soon to sort me out until tomorrow, then just snack on the train in between. Think my IPod is charging now, so that will help on the jouney, although I do plan to sleep alot of it. Just brought the frigging Harry Potter book, after searching all over. Sods law it was the closest place to my Hostel that I looked in last that I found it. It was also fucking expensive, the same price as saying in my Hostel here again for the night; It better be a good read!

Went out to an Irish Bar last night for a beer and to read the paper as they had the Times, which always makes me feel at home. After an hour or so I got chatting to some people who lived here. They were really nice and ended up spending the whole night with them until about 2:00. Ironically, none of them were Spanish, and they were the nicest foreigners I´ve met. I say that, one of the girls was English, but she´s lived here for 14 months now. The other girl was French, and the guy was Mexican. It was a strange night, but very interesting to hear about there views on the world. Needless to say they were no overly keen on the English, and found them a bit arrogant. I did feel bad that I couldn´t speak Spanish, but they spoke very good English. The French girl could speak about ten languages, which was damn impressive.

So there we go, if in doubt head to the nearest Irish Bar, every city has them.

Right then, next time hopefully I´ll be in Bern or somewhere in Switzerland. Looking forward to lugging my bag to the station later, starting to feel a bit weak now after not being able to workout properly for a while. I´m sure I´m losing weight, which is not good.

You try writing this as fast as you can on a foreign keyboard. I think it can be excused. Plus you must have alot of time on your hands to be correcting my English.

There so IS a there (should be their) in the entry! The bit about the French and Mexicans - so there!!! In addition to this, I think you meant you're not your in your reply, haha. Sorry, I'll stop picking on you now! Good job you're not doing an English degree though! Anyway, lots of families go to Ibiza, its not just for clubbers! Although I think I will be taking my sister out when I get there. Take care hun and I'll be in touch when I'm back. xxxxx

Your hardcore Sam, you really are. Since there is no "there" or "theirs" in that entry - Fuck off! Ibiza, strange destination for a family holiday. I bet your dad when convincing your mum to go there was like - "Darling, I´ve heard Ibiza´s nice this time of year. Let´s take the family." Then he´s off clubbing for the night after your mum falls asleep. Dirty man, but fair play, he´s covered his mid-life crisis up as a family holiday.
