What a gorgeous place Petropolis is.....the city where Andre was born and where his brother currently lives with his wife, two children, and three dogs!!! It's only an hour and a half away from the city of Rio de Janeiro, but it feels like you're in a completely different world. The weather was much cooler here compared to every where else we had been thus far, so our jackets and shoes came in handy (finally)! One of the neatest things about this visit was that we not only got to see Petropolis, but Pedro took some time off and we went with him and his family to Angra dos Reis and Paraty (beautiful beach towns in the state of Rio de Janeiro).

What a gorgeous place Petropolis is

Que lugar exuberante é Petrópolis... a cidade onde André nasceu e onde seu irmão mora atualmente com sua esposa, dois filhos e três cachorros!!! É localizada a apenas uma hora e meia da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, mas parece que você está em um mundo completamente diferente. O clima é muito mais frio aqui comparado a todos os lugares em que estivemos até agora, então nossos casacos e sapatos se tornaram úteis (finalmente)! Uma das melhores coisas desta visita foi que nós não visitamos apenas Petrópolis, mas Pedro tirou um tempo de folga e nós fomos com ele e sua família para Angra dos Reis e Paraty (lindas cidades de praias no estado do Rio de Janeiro).
