Notes on Cinque Terre:
Cinque Terre is made up of 5 small towns that hug the southern part of Ligurian coast. The walking track that connects the 5 towns is about 9km long and takes about 5 hours. The walk between the 2 southern towns of Riomaggiore and Manarola was labeled `via dell’amore’ or lovers’ lane. Cars are not allowed into the towns so the only transport is either by foot, ferry or by the Cinque Terre train.
