We left from Toronto with the plan to stay a night in New York and head over to Tobago. However after a lovely lunch and a walk around my favourite city, we were so excited to get to Tobago and see everyone, we decided on impulse to leave there and then and fly to the Caribbean. One minute we were in an internet cafe, the next we were hurtling through the streets, in a bid to catch the next plane - luckily we made it on time!

Tobago was a welcome break from the cold of America, we had a wonderful week and it was fantastic to meet up with everyone for the wedding. It was a welcome relief to find that the bridesmaid dress still fit after nothing but burgers and fries in the US, for me I now had no other worries!

Claire looked a picture, and Ricardo scrubbed up well too!

The wedding was an amazing day for everyone, the mix of cultural influences from Trinidad and Ireland worked wonders for the dance floor! If we weren't grinding and singing to reggae we were waving our hands in the air to The Fields of Athenry! As the night wore on, and under the influence of rum, we were all partaking in extreme Irish dancing as the photos show - it really was a wonderful day and night! And as you can see Claire looked a picture, and Ricardo scrubbed up well too!

For the rest of the week, we chilled out on the beach and went on a tour around the island, we got to swim with wild dolphins and mantra rays - awesome! After a bottle of rum, Emily won the limbo against the locals! And we relaxed on a beach in the middle of the ocean - none of us wanted to leave!
