Hello everyone, it's Meg this time! After driving for about 5 1/2 hours and passing into mountain time, we arrived at our first National Park: Badlands, South Dakota. The scenic drive was all praries, and then out of nowhere came this great sight. I can't describe it. When we got out of the car the heat slapped us in the face. We took a walk around and just stared at the natural beauty as we watched out for rattle snakes on the ground. Since we didn't have the necessary gallon of water and covered leather shoes, we chose not to hike around too much. We drove the loop for a little while and hit the road AGAIN.
The scenic drive was all praries, and then out of nowhere came this great sight.
