Baguio is close to my heart next to my hometown. It was rainy season when i visited this city last year and the weather this time is perfect to enjoy my summer vacation.

It was 6 in the evening when we arrived in Scout Barrio. Noel's family and relations were all waiting for us and had prepared us a sumptuous dinner. I was very happy to see them again and was very excited to have a tour around Baguio City.

As a visitor, I can't compare Baguio with any city I know in Phils. It is a city that is unique and one of its kind. With its cool weather, friendly residents, clean environment, scenic mountain views, and pine-scented air, Baguio is not only one of the best places to visit when in the Philippines but also the most suitable city which i am considering to be a resident of.

Despite the city's small size, there are numerous shopping centers and malls in the business district catering to the growing commercial activity in Baguio and one is my fave- SM City Baguio mall which is quite unique in all its branches nationwide.

Our vacation won't be complete without passing the areas of Session Road, Harrison Road, Magsaysay Avenue and Abanao Street where it is in these areas where commercial and business structures abound.

We went also to their famous local public market and they offered me a wide array of locally sourced goods and products, from colorful woven fabrics and strung beads to primitive wood carvings, cut flowers, strawberries and vegetables. Well, i bought a lot of accessories and knitted blouse but chose to go to Trinidad Benguet to buy freshly picked strawberries.

Among the places we did not fail to visit are the Camp John Hay where i took photos of myself in the golf course, camp john hay suites, and the commissary. We also visited the famous Mines View where you can see the spectacular view of Benguet's gold and copper mines.

The Botanical Garden is also one of the nicest places in Baguio and tourists often take pictures with Igorot tribesmen in traditional costume and i just did hehehe :-) I really had a hectic time touring around Baguio and i have to mention that the Mansion, Wright Park and the Lourdes Groto were all in the lists and good sites for sightseeing and photography. :-)
