Nicks Story. A fantastic lunch meeting with RB. We had a lot of laughs reminising about 'the good old days' and also he gave me some great advice regrading Coaches Across Continents'. All i had left later that day was a 70 mile drive from dc to Front Royal and another cheap motel ($29) with tv, a/c, free internet etc.......wow, Africa really was expensive! Most of my time in Front Royal was spent trying to find a Vanity Fair magazine that is devoted to Africa. I found it in the 6th place.

Today I am starting my little treat....a 3-5 day trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway....peace and quiet for the first time in 11 months....what could possibly go wrong?
was it Stan or Ollie?
It was a lovely drive and started very well with a black bear crossing the road. I was a bit unlucky that two motor bikes and another car came very quickly or I could have watched it for a while. I almost ran in to a few deer on the drive when they jumped across the road and almost impossibly, I did go the wrong way for 15 miles after a view stop.

All in all, a nice 5 hours on the road through incredibly beautiful, scenic mountains. I decided to end in Staunton, the start of the Blue Ridge Parkway and found another hotel that would have been $200 in Africa but only $35 in the US. This travelling is too easy!
