Day 3
From Two Weeks in California in Inverness, United States on Jul 16 '00
We had a wonderful breakfast of banana waffles and decided to check out the local bird observatory. My boyfriend studies birds so we thought this might be interesting, but it was boring. Next, we drove to Bolinas which is a small fishing town on the coast. We got a sort of unfriendly vibe in this village so we didn't stay and tour very long. After Limantour Beach, we went to Mount Vision. I was disappointed because I was expecting this amazing view, but it was foggy which made the view difficult to see. We went to North Beach to watch the sunset which was beautiful. Dress warm and bring blankets if you plan to watch the sunsets. It's absolutely freezing on the beach at night. We decided to conclude our evening with dinner in town. There was a restaurant in town called the Station House Cafe. Many locals did not recommend this restaurant, but we were hungry and decided to give it a try. It was also the only restaurant that was still open. We don't recommend this restaurant either, but its been many years since we've been to Inverness so it might have improved.
I know the Blue Heron is cool, but let's go.
