With the mind to experience BA's various neighborhoods, I moved to a different hostel, one by the Obelisk in the Central District.  Brand new and relatively unknown among the Hostel International network, I had an entire room to my self.   Best of all, it was right in the heart of the city and a subway ride away from everything I wanted to see over the next few days.

Most of my day was spent exploring Porto Madero, an exciting area on the water that is home to several multinationals and some very swanky accommodations.  For years, it was abondoned land, but over the last little while, has been turned in a beautiful port area that is THE big tourist zone (with correspondingly priced restaurants) that is great to walk around any time of the day.

I also checked out The Tulip, a large silver flower that mechanically opens and closes, and also follows the movement of the sun with the help of hydraulics.  Next was a stroll around BA's Japanese and Rose gardens.

The highlight of my day, however, was dining at DesNevel, a very simple restaurant in San Telmo.  Popular with many of the locals, it is a traditional Parrilla.  Packed wall to wall (a faded pink, adorned with several flags from around the world) everyone was enthusiastically gorging themselves on a wide selection of delicious meat.  I opted for the  most expensive steak on the menu (22 pesos for 14oz of the finese meat around!), as well as black pudding (Argentina's version of blood sausage), veal cutlets, pured pumkin and a mountain of potatoe salad, all knocked down with a bottle of tasty red wine.  The beef was absolutely exceptional.  Juicy, melt in your mouth flesh that reminded me how amazing it was to be a carnivore.  Those poor vegetarians.  I just can't understand how they can deny themselves such tasty treasures.  Sometimes I ask them what they're thinking, but now I just let it be because they're really doing me a favour: as one traveler said to me, "You should really thank them...more meat for us!" So excited was I by my dining experience, and appreciative of the service (exclusively in Spanish), I high-fived the guy manning the massive grill as you enter the restaurant.

With a grossly distented belly and a rosy glow, I headed out with Dana to a couple of spots in the district of Palermo, but with such a large amount of food in my belly, didn't stay out too long.
