Day 8
From Philly in Philadelphia, United States on May 31 '07
We rented a car and drove to Valley Forge. Valley Forge is about 35 miles from downtown Philly. The visitor center has great display cases filled with artifacts from the original camp. After the 20 minute movie the visitor center offered about the history of Valley Forge, we opted for the driving tour. We stopped along the way to take pictures, look at the cannons and even went inside one of the log cabins used as sleeping quarters built by the soldiers. We also were able to walk inside Washingtons quarters. We saw lots of deer along the way. It was such a peaceful atmosphere, though it was a really hot and humid day. After our visit to Valley Forge we made our way to the King of Prussia Mall recommended by my sister in law. GREAT Shopping. Thanks Linette!
