certainly the best city in the world!!

Grace says: Venice was very different because of all the canals and stations for boats and we got a gelati every day. Exploring narrow alleys lined with shops and houses and looking at all the jewelry in the shops that sell Murano Glass

certainly the best city in the world!!

Lara says: I loved Venice - it feels like Venice is alive - mask shops and glass jewellery shops are both great. The people are friendly and generous  and when you're in a crowd here you don't feel alone, you feel cosy & warm together. Even getting lost is fun ..

Jen & Bren say: Venice with kids is wonderful

(but we will return here back on our own sometime, probably in Feb some year for the Venice Carnivale, when everyone dresses up in masks for the masked balls and the street parties! - this is a very romantic city ... suspect even mosre so than Paris where we got engaged way back when!)

Brendan was blown away by the architecture  and art everywhere and how you can meander through narrow cobblestoned streets lined with buildings that have not changed for hundreds and hundreds of years. Getting away from San Marco suare and the Rialto is a must to get a real feel for this city. Jen is a fine jewellery-maker, so she had a fabulkous time in a city with 10,000 jewellery shops full of exquisite Murano glass creations. The energy in Venice is palpable ... the incessant water traffic, the singing of the gondoliers & street performaers ... and it's such a warm & positive energy ... full of ecitement and vigour ...
