Today we woke up and had to get ready to leave Bordeaux, we had a continental breakfast and drove off to the chateau haut-bailly for a tour. It was kind of a gray wet day, but first they took us out by the vines and explained how they would prune the vines and only have the best grapes, any green grapes they would just drop on the ground. Then we went to the fermentation area that they had in cement tanks that they had to keep in certain areas. Then we put them in the metal bins for storage, there was a de-stemer and other areas they go through.. hmm… then somehow we got to barrels Im not sure. Then we went into the cellars and then everyone did the wine tasting. I was so tired, we went to sleep on the bus to carcassone we stopped for lunch but then made our way to carcassone which is a city inside the walls of a castle it was sooo cool! I thought that the castle was HUGE but then I realized when I entered that the castle was inside with the town as well. It was so pretty it reminded me of Diagon Alley on Harry Potter. The cobble stone streets were extremely cute. We walked along went in the little shops and played with midevil toys and then found a little café and drank some hot chocolate (its so funny here… people drink hot chocolate a lot.. we aren’t looked at weird if we don’t drink coffee) Then we made our way to the hotel… this is the nicest one so far I absolutely love it! Our room has a balcony and when we look out we can see the castle up on the hill lit up. And a cathedral in the distance I love it! We went out to dinner, and then this dj was out in the middle of the street and all these people were there so like our whole group went out.. they all were drinking but it was so funny cuz they just know us as the girls from Utah that don’t drink… and after tonight they said.. you guys don’t need to drink. Then we all decided to leave and it was so nice these people in our group followed us home because they were scared the French guys were going to follow us. Anyways we are having a lot of fun!!! And we are off to Barcelona in the morning

Our room has a balcony and when we look out we can see the castle up on the hill lit up.

Now what on earth does a castle have to do with Daigon Alley?! Honestly! ;) Thanks for the blog link. It's been fun reading the entries to keep me busy at work. A guy can only read so much ESPN.com per day! When you've started reading articles about NASCAR you KNOW you're bored!
