(Nicks story) At the start of our trip, Big Jamie Reilly bought a cooler...and it went with us through South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland...always in the car...always full.  When Big Jamie left for his adventures, we took over the cooler...and somehow its name became Little Jamie.  We took it everywhere, on buses, on planes, on boats, generally full of books, sometimes with food...and always getting attention, particularly at customs and airports.

Anyway, we finally had to say goodbye in Nairobi, and we left Little Jamie in a safe place, with the Sisters of a small convent where we stayed.  It was a sad day to say goodbye both to little and big Jamie but we know its safe.

Whenever we were moving from one place to another we would go through our check list, 2 big bags, 2 little bags and Little Jamie....and now he's gone!!

Goodbye my love.......We miss you!!

(Ronis story) Little Jamie, our mobile library, traveled with us through 7 different African countries and then... we had to part.

It was Ronnie who made us leave Little Jamie....I wanted to take him all the way! Sister Marie promised to take good care of him.

This is a bit awkward, but I was expecting that back. I think I paid about about 70 Rand or so back in South Africa. So figure the exchange rate...carry the two...Let's say $11 and we'll call it good. Big Jamie
