After leaving Lake Maggiore we made our way down to the mediterranean and slowly around the Italian and French riviera and into Spain where we are now.
We spent a morning in Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dali, and we visited his Museum - the Theater Museum Dali. I have seen a Dali exhibit in London so have seen some of his more famous work. The museum has a lot of paintings as well as some sculpture. Mae West cum apartment was pretty cool as was the huge picture that, from a distance, looks like a mans head. In fact we didn't even see the whole mans head thing until we took a photo and saw it through the little camera viewfinder. Dali also created lots of jewelery, including a jeweled heart which was beating, as well as the odd conventional painting. The museum is well worth a look.

We have stayed at Les Medes campsite while we have been here which is a nice friendly place to stop. The town though is nothing special unless concrete apartment blocks are your thing, although Im sure it is a bit nicer in summer when the shops and restaurants are open.
The weather here is big change and has been between 15 and 20o during the day with lots of sunshine. Nice after a few months of cold! We are heading south so bring it on!
Dave.
