Day 61 - SARAH'S - More RAIN!!!!

We got up at about 9..and checked out by 10!!! We had to wait untill 5.30 pm for our busses to Cairns..so a lot of hanging around!!!!

We went on the internet and booked a hostel for Cairns!! We decided to stay at Global Palace as it is very central and clean!!!

We watched TV untill about 11..then we went to meet Smelly Cat at the bus stop!! We took her back to the hostel so she could dump her bags...!!!

We then decided we would go for a wander along the beach!! I was expecting it to be really really nice but it wasn't,,i suppose the gloomy weather didn't do it any favours though!!

We went to the supermarket and bought some pasta and sauce!! We deciced we could have lunch/dinner at about 3 so we didn't have to worry about food once we arrive in Cairns!! We also went to the butchers to buy some sausages...i nearly threw up as I walked in the door though!! I have never ever smelt such a bad smell...think of the worst smell ever and times it by 10000000000000...and that is how bad it really was...and im not exagerating!!!!!!

Cat and I decided to be optomistic and went and sat on the beach..with a bit of positive energy the sun might come out!! But literally as soon as we got settled the heavens opened so we sprinted back to the hostel and watched a film!!

I then went and had a quick shower...packed the rest of my bits up and we all made tea!! It was pretty good...

We got the hostel bus at about 4.50 ish...and my bus arrived at 5.30..the girls one was comint at 6ish!!! I was greeted by Kieran and Broatchie on my bus, i managed to convince them to stay at Global Place so they could wait with me at the bus stop for the girls!!!

We arrived in Cairns abou 2 and a half hours later. When we got off the coach Kieran got chatting to a stweet old man..he ended up wheeling his suitcase around for him and put him in a taxt..it was funny to watch!!!

A little while later I got a text off Louise 'Where are you? We're here! i can't see you!!!'....we enede up at different bus stops!! GREATTT....

Kieran decided he knew where he was going so we agreed to meet at the hostel..supridingly he really did know where we were going...we got there in no time!! I checked in and waited for the girls...the boys went up to the room!!!

The girlies arrived about 10 minutes later...and we all headed upw ot our room!! The hostel is really nice....slean and modern but no windows!!

We all did a tonne of washing and got an early night.....
