We managed to do quite a few things on our last days in London before I met up with Richard and Ursula went back to Dubai.

On Friday morning, Ursula and I went on the London Eye. We got up early so that we wouldn't have to queue and were some of the first people on for the day. The London Eye rotation lasts for about 1/2 hour and gives great views over the Thames River, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament.

That night, Monica, Elysia, Ursula, Tim (a friend we used to know in Sydney who is now living here} and I went to Brick Lane for dinner, known for its Indian restaurants. They all try to haggle for your business and we ended up getting 2 free bottles of wine and 20% off the bill. The food was great!

The next day, we all went to check out some of the markets. First we went to Portobello Rd Markets in Notting Hill. They have cool clothing, jewellery and other knick-knack stalls. Monica and I got yummy iced cupcakes from the Hummingbird cake shop, and we saw the bookstore from the movie Notting Hill. Next we wandered around Camden Markets. There are lots of punks in Camden, it seems to be quite an alternative area.

For my last night in London, we went to dinner at a Thai restaurant in Camden. It was sad to say goodbye to the girls again. But tomorrow, my European adventure begins...
