Its 8:32 (2:32AM Eastern time) and I feel like I may be pretty much over the jet lag already. The view out of the windows here are awesome! You see so many buildings and people walking below you. It’s a little noisy but nothing im concerned about. I can sleep through it with no problem…big surprise there.
AHA JAKE! IM SKATING IN EUROPE!!
Yesterday I arrived, baggage was there! I walked out to the airport lobby area and saw Jim and Carla! We gave big hugs and then got a cab. They live only 20 minutes away from the airport. Its so beautiful here! Its all coble stone roads and the sidewalks are all little square rocks that they repair daily. They have little trucks filled with these stones and go around fixing the sidewalks replacing them. But you have to be careful for dog poop. This is a very dog friendly city. The dogs walk off leash but are very well behaved. There’s tons of dogs. The only down side is they poop on the sidewalk and the owners dont pick it up. Gross. Carla and I climbed to the top of the big clock and had an amazing view! Then we went food shopping, went to a paper store, the dry cleaners who take the money before they wash the clothes. Very odd! We went to a few other stores too and then met up with Jim for lunch. We went to a Czech lunch place. I had no idea what I ordered, but I liked it. One thing was spicy but I don’t know what was in it and the other I know was pork but that’s all I know. The pork came with dumplings, they gave you 4 big ones! I could only eat one, but they were good. To say hi to people you say Dorby Den.

The door to the apartment has I think 9 deadbolt locks. Crazy! And its wicked thick. Coming threw the door you come to a hallway with the bathroom to your left and the kitchen ahead. The bathroom is HUGE! It has a sauna, Jacuzzi, shower, toilet and sink plus tons of floor room. The kitchen, dinning room and living room is one big room but each room has its own defined place. I sleep in the living room. The couch folds out to a bed. Then there’s a door from the living room that leads you to Jim and Carla’s room. The apartment has hardwood floors and the ceilings are amazing! They were the first thing I noticed when I walked in! Wicked high and beautiful!

We had kingdom hall last night at 6:30. We walked to it. I loved it! Everything is wicked awesome at night! The big church was all lit up, looked really cool. The kingdom hall wasn’t big, but everyone there is very nice! There’s so many people from different countries so no one sounds the same. Wicked cool. The city is a totally different place at night.
I don’t have internet at the apartment so I wont be able to update daily. But I will try my best to. I have to go to cafes with Wi-Fi to get on the internet. Which shouldn’t be a problem since we are in the middle of everything.

So like I said earlier I don’t have internet connections on my laptop here unless I go to a Wi-Fi Café. I will try to get there often. On top of that my camera SD card wont upload my pics on my laptop. Im going to go to the camera store hopefully tomorrow and buy a USB cable for my camera and see if that will work.
Today I went out of the old city and went into the new city. Which is where the camera shop is. I went there to get my SD card adaptor since I forgot it at home. But it didn’t help me at all since its not working. Lame. Then Carla and I went to T-mobile to get a Czech SIM card in Jims old Razor phone so I can use it while im here. Then we went to stores to buy stuff. I bought postcards so some of you may get some fairly soon…others a little later. We met up with a sister named Luisa for lunch at a vegetarian restaurant (surprisingly the soy meat was good) and then coffee. She’s very cool! Then Carla and I wondered around trying to find a book store which is called Globe. It’s a famous book store. We couldn’t find it. I took the tram for the first time today, just like the T in Boston but above ground. We also went to the famous Charles bridge and had a clear view of the castle. They close the bridge off so you can walk all over it. We are going to climb on top one of the towers to go up to the very top and see the whole city. There are grocery stores, clothe stores and flower shops in the metro staion. I thought that was pretty weird! Then Carla and I went home and met up with Jim and we went off for dinner in a Czech Café. Im pretty sure we were the only people there who didn’t speak Czech. This café was way out from tourists so it was a Czech hang out. This was the best food I’ve had since I got here. I got something like chicken, rice and veggies…I don’t know what it was called. I also got a coke which came in a glass bottle! Jim and Carla got ½ litter of dark beer for only 25 krowns…which is about $1.50 USD! I cant drink here in Czech, you have to be 18 but I can in Germany! We walked back and Jim asked if I could find my way home. I really do think I can…its all about the landmarks.

So there are many interesting people here. Most of them are beautiful! Then there’s the guys who pee in the middle of the sidewalks or puke. The beggers here I find to be less annoying then back home. They don’t BEG for krowns they just bow down like to a god, close there eyes, leave there hats out and say nothing.
Prague is skateboard paradise! Everywhere you look is something to skate! Just like the stuff you see in the pro skate videos. Im going skating Sunday I think while Carla takes her run. I pretty excited but nervous…HAHA JAKE! IM SKATING IN EUROPE!! Sorry I had to get that out there.
