From Zanzibar we flew back to mainland Tanzania and met our guide who was taking us on our safari. We traveled to Ngorongoro Crater where we checked into the Lodge which is located on the rim of the Crater and in the morning and evening you have such a beautiful view.
The travel to the Crater was long and a bit difficult in places as well as was the descent into the Crater. BUT, WOW it was worth it! We saw every animal that lived inside this natural wonder. You got up close and personal with the wildlife. Elephants, giraffes, lions, rhinos where there for the viewing. I can not possibly name all of them.

My favorite memory is of a mother lioness feeding her cubs on a gnu.
